Hi Palani R! I hope you had a nice weekend. That said, the same question stands: What can we do to prevent this notification from popping up? What is happening under the hood to trigger this notification and how can this be suppressed? This will result in an unnecessary surge of calls to the Service Desk only to have the support personnel say "You can ignore that prompt" to which the customer will wonder "Well why did you prompt me to do this?" leading back to the first point. The user is inconvenienced with an unhelpful notification and their perception is that something is wrong (i.e.: IT team screwed something up).Since they do not have an administrative account they'll either call for help or click cancel.Because they do not have local administrative rights on their workstation a User Account Control (UAC) prompt will immediately appear asking them to enter administrative credentials in order to proceed with the install. When they dock their laptop & login this notification will appear and thinking they have to do something they likely to click 'Install'.As offices begin to reopen people will be coming in to either new equipment or an entirely new space as the result of a move or renovation which also includes new equipment. But in a corporate environment, especially one where users do not have local admin rights, this pop-up is not practical and leads to confusion. I completely understand that we can close the pop-up and yes that does make it 'go away'. ![]() Thanks for the reply Ankita S - I really do appreciate it!

There are no companion mobile apps either, which is another strike against the software.Īs mentioned, the price is high for what it is. You can buy a copy of the Focused app from the Mac App Store or directly from the maker, Codebots, for $30. The problem is that, while it can get the job done, Focused is way too expensive for what it offers. Its signature feature is that it includes several audio tracks, both white noise and calming musical soundscapes, to (theoretically) boost your concentration and help you block out the world. Like many of them, Focused eschews menus and extraneous options to give you a minimal experience while you write. Many of the best apps for writers aim to create an environment with as few distractions as possible so that the words on the page are the focus.
